How to Set Up a Rotate Account as an MSP
This guide outlines the recommended steps to properly set up your MSP Rotate account, covering all available configuration options. As an MSP, you are responsible for defining security settings and managing account configurations, including adding leads, clients, team members and integrating Rotate with your existing infrastructure.
1. Log in to Your Rotate Admin Account
Navigate to the Rotate login page and sign in using your credentials. Depending on your organization's needs, you can choose between a basic setup or a fully customized configuration. The following sections outline the key areas you should consider:
2. Complete Onboarding to the Security Platform
- Follow the onboarding steps to provide organization details.
- Review and customize default security settings as needed.
3. Manage User Access and Roles
- Add team members and define user roles (e.g., Admin, Security Analyst, IT Support).
- Navigate to Rotate settings → User Management to invite new users or modify existing permissions.
- Click “Invite User”.
- Fill in the user’s email address and assign as “Admin/User”.
- Assign appropriate roles:
- Admin: Has full access to manage, modify, and configure all settings.
- User: Has limited access, can view data only.
- Once you click “Send,” the user will receive an invitation to the platform via email.
4. Add leads to your partner portal
By adding leads, you secure exclusive onboarding rights for your clients, preventing other MSPs from onboarding them for one month.
To add a lead:
- Navigate to the Partner Portal → Management → Leads.
- Click Add Company → Add New Lead.
- Enter the Company Name, Company Domain, and Number of Users, then click Next.
You can also request an EASM Report for each lead:
- Click Report → Request.
- The report will be sent to the Rotate admin email within 48 hours.
5. Onboard your customers
- Go to Partner Portal → Management → Active.
- Click Add Company → Onboard User.
- Complete the onboarding process using the customer's admin account
6. Integrate Rotate with Other Applications
- Navigate to Rotate settings → Integrations to explore supported third-party applications.
- Connect integrations such as:
- Slack for real-time security notifications.
- Okta for identity and access management.
Review and Finalize Your Setup
Before completing the setup, ensure that:
✅ All critical assets are registered and actively monitored.
✅ User roles and permissions are correctly assigned.
✅ Security policies align with your organization's compliance requirements.
Once these steps are completed, your Rotate account will be fully configured for security monitoring and management.
